Job Description:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our growing team. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on payroll experience, and the ability to work closely with both local and international stakeholders, including our partner company based in Australia.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including recording and payment of invoices, acting as a key contact for creditors, and ensuring compliance with company policies
- Oversee the accounts receivable function, including allocation of receipts from bank statements to debtor ledgers, reconciliations, and handling internal and external inquiries
- Handle payroll processing, including employee registration and deregistration with relevant institutions
- Calculate taxes and ensure accurate and timely tax filings
- Operate within the eGovernment (eUprava) system for required administrative and reporting tasks
- Perform month-end processes and reporting, including journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and balance confirmations
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal standards
- Provide accounting support to internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives
- Support ad hoc business and office needs when required
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience as an Accountant (experience in the IT sector is an advantage)
- Experience with payroll processing, tax calculations, and government reporting systems
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (data analysis, reporting, financial modeling)
- Fluency in English and Serbian, both written and spoken (due to regular communication with our Australian partner)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
